Wire Slipover - English

Construction

The slipover is knitted from the top down. Stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is worked flat with increases. Stitches are then picked up along the upper edge of the back piece to create the left and right shoulder pieces. The shoulder pieces are worked flat, with increases to shape the neckline. They are then joined to form the front piece, which is also worked flat.
The front and back pieces are subsequently joined, and the body is worked in the round. It is finished with a ribbed hem and an Italian bind-off. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked in rib. There are two neckline options: a turtleneck or a folded neckline. Finally, ribbed edges are worked around both armholes.
