Acanthus Baby Socks - English
Construction:
The socks are knitted from the top down. Firstly, the cuff is worked in stockinette stitch while making holes for the I-cord. The work is folded down and knitted into a doubled cuff, where the I-cord is placed. Afterwards the sock is worked with lace pattern on the front and in stockinette on the back. The heel is formed with short rows. The length of the sock is adjusted according to age, and increases are made towards to toes. Finally, the stitches are closed off with Kitchener stitch.
